Install on your phone in 30 seconds. No app store required. Native Android & iOS apps are coming — the web version has every feature and is available now. Native Android and iOS apps are coming soon — the web version has all the same features and is available right now.

01Install on Android

The Vault works best when installed to your home screen — it opens fullscreen like a native app.

1

Open in Chrome

Visit hexcorevault.com/app in Google Chrome on your Android phone.

2

Tap Install

Chrome will show a banner at the bottom saying "Add The Vault to Home screen" — tap it. If no banner appears, tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right and select "Install app" or "Add to Home screen."

3

Done

The Vault icon appears on your home screen. Tap it to open — no browser bar, fullscreen, works offline.

Also works in: Samsung Internet, Brave, and Microsoft Edge on Android. Same process — look for "Add to Home Screen" in the browser menu.

02Install on iPhone / iPad

Apple doesn't support automatic install prompts, but the process is still quick.

1

Open in Safari

Visit hexcorevault.com/app in Safari. It must be Safari — Chrome on iOS doesn't support PWA install.

2

Tap the Share Button

Tap the Share icon (the box with an upward arrow) at the bottom of Safari.

3

Add to Home Screen

Scroll down in the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen." Confirm the name as "The Vault" and tap Add.

4

Done

The Vault icon appears on your home screen. Opens fullscreen, works offline.

Important: On iOS, data is stored in Safari's local storage. Don't delete the app from your home screen or clear Safari data without exporting a backup first.

03Use on Desktop

The Vault works great on any desktop browser too.

1

Visit hexcorevault.com/app

Open in Chrome, Edge, or Brave. You'll see an install icon in the address bar — click it to install as a desktop app. Or just bookmark the page and use it in your browser.

04Using the App

The Vault has 11 modules accessible from the bottom tab bar. Here's what each one does:

05Backing Up Your Data

Your data lives on your device. Regular backups protect you from data loss.

1

Open the More Tab

Tap "More" in the bottom nav bar to open Settings.

2

Tap Export Backup

This downloads a JSON file containing your entire vault — all records, all photos, everything.

3

Store It Safely

Save the file to your computer, a USB drive, or wherever you keep important files. We recommend backing up at least once a month or after any major data entry session.

Restoring on a new device: Open The Vault on your new device, go to More → Import Backup, and select your saved JSON file. Everything will be restored exactly as you left it.

06Tips for Best Results

Photos: The Vault compresses photos automatically (1200px max, JPEG 70%). For best results, make sure photos are well-lit and in focus. On mobile, the camera opens directly — no need to save to your gallery first.
Range day workflow: Add your ammo inventory first. When you log a range visit and select which ammo you used, the quantity auto-deducts. Your ammo counts stay current without manual adjustment.
Insurance readiness: Take photos of every firearm from multiple angles, photograph serial numbers, and save receipt photos. If you ever need to file an insurance claim, having this documentation already organized saves weeks of stress.
Dry fire: The safety checklist appears every time you generate a routine. This is intentional. Complacency is the enemy of safe dry fire practice.
